Tom Jones To Strip Down To Intimate Mode For Melbourne Club Show

Sir Tom Jones will perform a one-off intimate show at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre when he comes to Australia at the end of the month for an appearance at the AFL Grand Final.

Sir Tom’s exclusive show will take place on Wednesday, September 24 with tickets on sale this Friday September 19 at 10am through Ticketmaster.com.au.

Alt-country singer songwriter Lanie Lane will be Tom’s special guest at the show. Lanie will release her second album ‘Night Shade’ on October 24.

Sir Tom Jones received his knighthood in 2006 for his services to music and charities. He has been awarded the BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, a Silver Clef Award Lifetime Achievement and a Hitmakers Award for the Songwriters Hall of Fame in the USA.

Tom Jones scored his first hit with ‘Its Not Unusual’ in 1965. In 1966 he sang the theme to the 4th James Bond movie ‘Thunderball’. His string of hits include ‘Whats New Pussycat’ (1965), ‘Green Green Grass of Home’ (1966), ‘Delilah’ and ‘Help Yourself’ (1967), ‘Without Love’ (1969), ‘Daughter of Darkness’ and ‘I Who Have Nothing’ (1970), ‘She’s A Lady’ (1971), ‘Kiss’ (1988) and ‘If I Only Knew’ (1994).

Sir Tom Jones will perform at the AFL Grand Final on September 27 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Ed Sheeran will also perform at the match.
