U2 may have just called it quits

by Paul Cashmere on November 15, 2018

in News

U2 ended the ‘Experience + Innocence tour in Berlin on Tuesday night telling fans “we are going away now”.

Bono did not elaborate on the statement which may or may not have suggested that U2 have just broken up. “We’ve been on the road for quite some time now – it’s going on 40 years – and this last four years have been really something very special for us. We’re going away now,” he said.

That one simple comment has sent fans and music media into wondering exactly what that meant.

The other band that may have just headed to hiatus is Coldplay who chose their new movie ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ to reveal their last album was “our final album” and that they “have reached the end of an era”.

Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ screened in thousands of cinemas around the world on 14 November, 2018. The movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime and will be released on DVD on 7 December 2018.
