Uncanny X-Men To Reform For Rock In The Vines

Lock up your grandmothers, Brian Mannix is putting the Uncanny X-Men back together.

Uncanny X-Men will perform at Rock In The Vines at Sutton Grange Winery on Friday, 27 January 2016.

The line-up for 2017 features original members Brian Mannix (Lead Vocal), Chuck Hargreaves (Lead Guitar) and Ron Thieson (Guitar) along with John Kirk (Bass Guitar) and Max Waugh (Drums and Percussion) who were there for the Cos Life Hurts album of 1985.

Uncanny X-Men released the first EP ‘Salive One’ in 1982 and had a minor hit with ‘Pakistan’ but it was ‘Everybody Wants To Work’ that broke the band Australia wide.

Uncanny X-Men disbanded in 1987 but have performed occasional reunions in 1998 and 2010.

Founding member Steve Harrison, who played on ‘Salive One’, died in 2009 from cancer.

As well as Uncanny X-Men Rock In The Vines will feature Ross Wilson, Dale Ryder, 1927, Richard Clapton, Kids In The Kitchen, Steve Kilbey of The Church, Wendy Matthews and The Chantoozies.
