Compressorhead is the robotic metal band that is on its way to Big Day Out. And when we say metal, we mean metal. Compressorhead is a 6 tonne band making them the second heaviest band in the world after Meat Loaf.

When Big Day Out promoter Ken West signed Compressorhead, he signed on to deliver the most unique rider any band has ever asked for at the Big Day Out.

Compressorhead will not perform unless meatbag West supplies:

3 x bag assorted nuts
3 x litres hydraulic fluid
3 x litres engine oil

Their typical setlist is:

Ace of Spades – Motorhead
Bad – No Means No
Banana Splits – Theme
Blitzkreig Bop – Ramones
Bullet In The Head – Rage Against The Machine
I Love Rock and Roll – Joan Jett
Ironman – Black Sabbath
Rock and Roll – Led Zeppelin
Rumble – Link Wray
Should I Stay Or Should I Go – The Clash
TNT – AC/DC
Unsung – Helmet
Whole Lotta Love – Led Zeppelin
Wilmas Rainbow – Helmut

Compressorhead will be travelling with the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, Vampire Weekend and Band of Horses but it is unlikely the headline acts will get anywhere the same level of service as Compressorhead on the 2013 tour.

The Big Day Out will kick off in Sydney on January 18.
