Q Magazine reports that Coxon and Albarn teamed up on stage for the first time since 2009, playing three songs during War Child’s annual BRIT Awards charity show at O2 Shepard’s Bush.

The duo, on piano and guitar, performed ‘He Thought Of Cars’ and ‘Strange News From Another Star’, then a new song called ‘Under The West Way’.

Albarn explained, “We wrote this up the road a few weeks ago. It’s got a lot of words. Not as many as Ed Sheeran’s, but it’s got a lot of words.”

Coxon has previously said there will be a new Blur album coming, and all four original members are to perform at the BRIT Awards in London.
