Hucknall retired the Simply Red name after the 2010 tour but when back to the name in 2014. A new album ‘Big Love’ was released in 2015 after the solo album’American Soul’ in 2012.

Simply Red’s first album ‘Picture Book’ was released in 1985. The band’s debut single ‘Money’s Too Tight (Too Mention)’ was a global hit. The album sold over one million copies in the USA.

About ‘Blue Eyed Soul’ Mick says “At this stage of my career, I could do one of those dark reflective albums looking back on my life and all that kind of stuff that people tend to do at a certain age. But I thought sod that! I wanted to make something punchy. I want to have a good time.”

BMG will release ‘Blue Eyed Soul’ on 8 November 2019.
