The Black Sorrows have debuted the video for ‘Raise Your Hands’, the third single from the ‘Faithful Satellite’ album.

‘Raise Your Hands’ is the album’s gospel/rockabilly moment featuring the ‘Sin defying vocals’ of Vika and Linda Bull and the ‘hell-raising trumpet’ of Eamon McNelis.

The ‘Raise Your Hands’ film clip is the creative vision of Susan Stitt ACS one of Australia’s leading cinematographers and Sydney post-production house Heckler.

‘Faithful Satellite’ is the 17th album for The Black Sorrows. The album, released in September 2016, is also available as a limited edition (500 copies) 12” double vinyl with an additional eight tracks not on the CD version.

Since forming in 1983 The Black Sorrows have been one of Australia’s most diverse rock acts drawing influences from blues, rock, jazz, country and gospel. ‘Faithful Satellite’ blends all of the Sorrows styles from the past 30 years into one record.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
