Motörhead will mark half a century since their first studio sessions with a massive 4 disc 50th anniversary On Parole Sessions boxset featuring a Steven Wilson remix.

Motörhead's 50th year has closed with a global wave of tributes, new releases and public celebrations that underline the band's enduring cultural reach. As 2026 approaches, the legacy of Motörhead and its founder Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister continues to expand through memorials, music projects and a growing international fan community that remains fiercely loyal to both the man and the band.

When Noise11 asked former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell which album from his tenure with the band he was most proud of, his answer was immediate.

Phil Campbell co-wrote nearly every Motörhead classic from Orgasmatron (1986) through to Bad Magic (2015). Phil Campbell’s first major gig as a member of Motörhead wasn’t on a stage – it was on television. Within a week of joining the legendary band in 1984, Campbell found himself on the set of the cult British comedy The Young Ones.

Dave Grohl and Slash from Guns N' Roses were among those paying tribute to Motorhead frontman Lemmy at his funeral in Los Angeles on Saturday (09Jan16).

The Rainbow Bar and Grill on West Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood will be the location for a memorial this Sunday for the late Lemmy Kilmister.
