Rock animals Matt Sonic and The High Times fire up for new album This Love Electric, but Matt never thought he’d play it live.

Matt Sonic has become a mainstay of the Melbourne rock scene, and his second album, with a more solidified line-up of The High Times – Liam, Mikey and Megan – has gone from gritty foot-stomping action to a more spacey dimension.

The lovely and humble Mr Sonic discusses shifting band members and those who encouraged him to get This Love Electric up onto the stage, recording raw and ready, hitting the sunny shores of California, missing the last few decades of music, and Jagermeister vinyl.
