Lanie Lane has released the title track from her debut album To The Horses as a single, and has now delivered a sun-dappled video for the song, with the singer horsing around at a ranch in Malibu, California.

To celebrate, she’s booked an extensive regional solo tour through Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales. She also hits Darwin and Caloundra Festivals along the way, but those shows will have the full band.

She’ll also play the Heart Of St Kilda charity show on July 18 with Tim Rogers, Stonefield, Nick Barker, Normie Rowe, comedians and more.

She’ll also play support for the Jack White Splendour In The Grass sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney next month.

Check out the tourdates and the clip below. Also, Noise11 sat down with Lanie at SXSW, which is also below.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
