Michael Parisi’s Wunderkind Signs With Mushroom Group

Wunderkind, the new label from former Festival Mushroom Managing Director Michael Parisi, has signed a joint venture deal with Michael Gudinski’s The Mushroom Group.

For the past two years Parisi has been developing local acts signer songwriter Owl Eyes and hard rock sister act Stonefield. Both acts will be the first releases through the new Mushroom/Wunderkind deal.

Owl Eyes is Brooke Addamo. Her E.P. ‘Crystalised’ will be released on May 11 and an album will follow in September.

The Stonefield E.P. ‘Bad Reality’ is slated for release on May 18.

The Mushroom Group is home to The Temper Trap, Snakadaktal, Bliss n Eso, Lanie Lane, The Rubens, World’s End Press, DZ Deathrays, Cloud Control, Husky, Deep Sea Arcade, Diafrix, Bleeding Knees Club, Josh Pyke, TZU and many more.
