Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Blood Brothers’ EP will be released in vinyl for the very first time as part of the new box set ‘Bruce Springsteen: The Album Collection Vol. 2, 1987-1996’.

‘Vol 2’ picks up with ‘Tunnel of Love’ and features the ‘Human Touch’ and ‘Lucky Town’ albums of 1992, the solo record ‘The Ghost of Tom Joad’ from 1995, the live ‘In Concert/MTV Unplugged’ from 1993 and the two EP’s ‘Chimes of Freedom’ from 1988 and the 1996 ‘Blood Brothers’ EP.

‘Blood Brothers’ came along not long after vinyl had been phased out so it was only released on CD. The title track, ‘Secret Garden’ and ‘Murder Incorporated’ were included on Springsteen’s ‘Greatest Hits’ album. ‘High Hopes’ and ‘Without You’ were on singles but remain Springsteen rarities.

Springsteen has rarely performed ‘Blood Brothers’. He has played it live only five times. The last time was in Perth on January 22, 2017.

The Havalina’s cover ‘High Hopes’ has been played 41 times, most recently in May 18, 2014 in Uncasville, CT. It had a good run on the 2014 Australian tour with an airing in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Pokolbin as well as at the Auckland, New Zealand shows.

‘Murder Incorporated’ has been a setlist regular for years. It was last played in Melbourne, Australia on 2 February 2017 and was also performed in Adelaide and Perth on the 2017 tour.

‘Secret Garden’ was another song most recently played in Australia. Bruce has only played it seven times. The last time was 14 February, 2014 in Brisbane.

The only song to have never been played live by Bruce is “Without You’. It has been featured in a Springsteen show.

‘Volume 1’ of Springsteen’s vinyl collection was released in 2014.
