A 20-year old man from Mansfield, Victoria has died after a suspected drug overdose at the Beyond the Valley music festival outside Melbourne.

Two others were taken to hospital after overdosing at the event 100 kilometres from Melbourne in Gippsland. A 20-year old has since been released from Dandenong hospital after being admitted in a serious condition.

It follows the death of a 22-year old man from Brisbane who died from an overdose at the Lost Paradise music festival near Gosford over New Years.

Falls Festival organisers warned their patrons of a “dangerous orange pill’ being circulated across Australia which is thought to be cause of the deaths. The Falls Festival organisers broadened the warning saying, “Regardless of pill variation, we want to remind everyone of the potentially fatal risks that come with illicit substances.”

Beyond the Valley had a similar line-up to the Lost Paradise Festival. They shared headline act The Kooks as well as Tash Sultana, PNAU and Joey Bada$$.
