AC/DC are continuing to make the big bucks … literally. A new series of collector coins, notes and even a guitar pick have been released in the Cook Islands.

AC/DC fans with deep pockets can now empty those pockets with a ‘The Razors Edge’ coin for £199 ($AUD361), a ‘For Those About To Rock’ coin for £65 ($118), a Guitar Pick for £75 ($AUD136) or an Angus Buck for £42 ($AUD76).

2019 AC/DC The Razors Edge

AC/DC THE RAZORS EDGE 2019 Cook Islands 2oz black proof coin: Everybody knows the beginning guitar riff of Thunderstruck which is probably the most successful song of this 1990 released album. With Razors Edge, AC/DC celebrated a phenomenal comeback with 5 million sold units just in US alone! Just like the album, the latest piece of the series is a huge hit!

Why?

Check out the proof finish that is expertly colored in just the right spots and a mind blowing high relief based on our smartminting© technology is a modern 3D version of the original album cover. This 2 oz Razors Edge coin is on the cutting edge of minting technology!

2019 AC/DC For Those About to Rock

AC/DC FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK 2019 Cook Islands 1/2oz proof coin: The latest release of this successful collection is dedicated to another million selling album (No 1 in US) from these hard rock icons. With the release of this hit record the band went on tour for more than one year. Still today, the title song is always the last song of an AC/DC concert with firing cannons on stage. For those about to rock is also a variation of the phrase “We who are about to die, salute you”, which is how ancient gladiators greeted their emperor when entering the arena. Angus Young got the idea for the title of the song after reading a book about the ancient gladiator games. This ½ oz silver coin showcases a historic cannon and has a diameter of 38.61 mm with a striking proof finish.

AC/DC Buck

2019 AC/DC Gold Angus Buck

AC/DC ANGUS BUCK 2019 Cook Islands 0.3g gold foil: Printed precious metal banknotes have surged in popularity among collectors over the past years. This is why we created a special version to pay tribute to Angus and his band. “In Rock We Trust”. This slogan embodies all what AC/DC stands for more than 45 years. The note measures 156×67 mm and is minted from 1/10 gram of fine gold with a prooflike finish. Paper versions of banknotes that are similar to this were dropped from the ceiling by the thousands during their filming of the “Money Talks” video in 1990. You will also find links to their major hits incorporated on both sides of this golden laminated note. In fact, the notes merely measure a thickness like a sheet of paper.

2019 AC/DC Guitar Pick Plug Me In

AC/DC GUITAR PICK PLUG ME IN 2019 Cook Islands 1/4oz proof coin: There is no hard rock without an electric guitar, and no catchy guitar riff from Angus Young without a guitar pick! Check out the design of Angus laying down those riffs on this unique shaped coin meant to replicate a guitar pick. It has a diameter of 31 mm and is limited to 2007 pieces. Focus on this coin and you can almost hear those famous riffs!
