Adalita To Join Powder Monkeys At Hemensley Cup

Former Magic Dirt singer Adalita will perform with Power Monkeys at the Hemensley Cup this Sunday in Melbourne.

Tim Hemensley was the bass player and singer for Powder Monkeys and before that GOD. This Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of his death.

The Hemensley Cup, in honour of Tim, is a football match between The Rock Dogs and The Rat Bags. The Rat Bags is captained by The Age’s Martin Boulton.

Original members of Powder Monkeys, guitarist John Nolan and drummer Timmy-Jack Ray will reunite for the first time since Hemensley’s death to perform at the match with Mike Findlay from Dukes of Deliciousness on bass and special guests including Adalita.

The Hemensley Cup will take place from 11:30am – 3pm at Victoria Park Oval, Abbotsford this Sunday, July 21.
