Twilight at Taronga returns in 2027 for its 30th season, bringing five weekends of live music to Taronga Zoo Sydney from early February through to early March. The series opens with Northern Irish singer-songwriter Foy Vance and special guest Bic Runga on Friday 5 February, and closes with Pete Murray performing his Feeler and See The Sun albums in full on Saturday 6 March.

Proceeds from every ticket continue to support Taronga’s Wildlife Hospitals in Sydney and Dubbo, Australia’s first specialist wildlife teaching hospitals. The funds help train veterinarians, nurses, carers and students while advancing conservation work for native species.

The 2027 program mixes established favourites with newer voices. Saturday 6 February opens with a morning Lil’ Twilight performance by two-time ARIA Award winner Emma Memma, returning for a fourth consecutive year, before King Stingray take the evening slot. The Yolŋu five-piece have built a strong following with their blend of rock and manikay songlines.

Thursday 11 February brings The Dreggs and their indie-folk energy. The following night James Morrison returns with his Big Band, a long-standing favourite at the venue.
Jessica Mauboy headlines Saturday 13 February, delivering the R&B, pop, funk and soul mix that has earned her multiple ARIA Awards.

Friday 19 February is given over to the Rolling Stones Revue, starring Adalita, Phil Jamieson, Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers. The show focuses on the Let It Bleed album. The next night Björn Again return with their ABBA-endorsed tribute, another regular draw for the series.

The Waifs play Thursday 25 February, followed by The Jungle Giants on Friday 26 February. Saturday 27 February is Classic Hits Live, a three-hour package featuring Dragon, GANGgajang, Eurogliders, Taxiride featuring Jason Singh, and The Chantoozies. Pete Murray closes the season on Saturday 6 March with full performances of the two albums that defined a large part of his career.

Cameron Kerr, Chief Executive of Taronga Conservation Society Australia, said the milestone season continues a tradition that has become one of Sydney’s distinctive summer experiences. “For three decades, Twilight has brought people together through live music in an extraordinary setting, while creating meaningful support for Taronga’s conservation work. Every ticket sold helps protect wildlife, advance critical conservation programs and support world-class veterinary care through our wildlife hospitals.”

The setting remains a key part of the appeal. Concerts take place in an outdoor amphitheatre overlooking Sydney Harbour. Guests are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks for a picnic under the stars. The series is all-ages and has long been regarded as one of the city’s more relaxed outdoor music experiences.

Further announcements are expected as the 30th anniversary season unfolds. For now the confirmed bill already spans Australian rock, folk, R&B, children’s entertainment and international singer-songwriters, all framed by the harbour views and the ongoing link to wildlife conservation.
