Alexisonfire Announce Farewell Shows… In Australia

Post-hardcore heroes Alexisonfire will do a farewell tour, with two of the nine shows in Oz.

The Canadian champs gave up the ghost about a year ago, in no small part due to Dallas Green’s success as City And Colour, with Wade MacNeill leaving for UK hardcore act Gallows.

But they’re honouring their fans by announcing a last hurrah, with shows in London, Sao Paulo, Edmonton, Calgary, Montreal, two shows in Toronto, and two shows in Australia!

They’ll be here in December, playing Sydney’s Hordern Pavillion on December 11 and Melbourne’s Festival Hall on December 12.

They said on their Facebook page “We couldn’t be more excited to get on the road and travel and hit the stage one last time – most importantly we wanted to keep our promise to you guys. We’re going to be playing till the venues try to kick us off the stage. We’re talking 20+ songs a night.”

Tickets go on sale August 17 from Ticketek for Sydney and Ticketmaster for Melbourne.
