Ann Wilson Sets Solo Dates For March April

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on January 12, 2017

in News

Heart’s Ann Wilson is going out on a solo tour during March and April.

While it has not been specifically billed as a tour by her offshoot project, The Ann Wilson Thing, all of the musicians that are going on the trek are now listed on the group’s website as being part of the “posse”, leading us to believe that Wilson and her “Thing” band are one and the same.

The musicians supporting Wilson are Craig Burtock (guitar), Andy Stoller (bass) and Danny Fongheiser (drummer).

Wilson said of the tour “People can expect the unexpected in 2017. A beautiful, classy set with an elegant, artistic production. The music will be a mix of songs that have powered my life; iconic soul-stirring covers, songs from my years of solo work and the unforgettable songs of Heart.”

Tickets for the shows go on sale this Friday (January 13).

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
