Brisbane’s own Ballpark Music will headline the opening night for the cities newest music venue The Fortitude Music Hall.

With construction almost complete The Fortitude Music Hall is now scheduled to open in Friday, 26 July, 2019.

Opening night will be hosted by Patience Hodgson of The Grates wit DZ Deathrays and Tia Gostelow playing sets while Bernard Fanning & Ian Haug (Powderfinger), Patience Hodgson (The Grates), Thelma Plum, Dave McCormack (Custard), Busby Marou, Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music), Sahara Beck & Jeremy Neale make special guest appearances throughout the night.

Fortitude Music Hall is a labour of love from Powderfinger’s John ‘JC’ Collins, Secret Sounds’ Paul Piticco, Live Nation and Hutchinson Builders.

The venue is located in Brunswick Street Mall in the centre of Brisbane’s music universe Fortitude Valley.
The venue is designed to look like to great music theatres around the world. “We drew inspiration from all the beautiful Art Deco theatres and venues that existed in Brisbane and were torn down in the 80s,” JC said in a statement.

“It’s always been our dream and mission to build a venue that fills the void left by Festival Hall and we are proud of the vision we’ve created for The Fortitude Music Hall,” he added. “The masterplan is well and truly rolling out for a venue and space that will enhance the area and one that the community will enjoy and benefit from for many years to come. We are doing this for Brisbane!”.

Kyle and Jackie O Cop Another Disaster In Melbourne Radio Rating

Kyle and Jackie O’s KIISFM Melbourne radio disaster just got worse with Survey 3 for 2025 figures showing a .07 drop to 5.1. That is significant when the fall was from a figure of 5.8. The cumulative figure shows a 30,000 drop in audience. Surely ARN has run out of rags to keep polishing this turd.
