Star Wars star Carrie Fisher is in a critical condition after suffering a massive heart attack aboard a flight from London to Los Angeles.

Fisher was returning home to Los Angeles last night when she suffered the cardiac arrest. CPR was performed on the actress on the plane and it took 10-15 minutes to revive her.

The actress, who starred as Princess Leia in the first three Star Wars movies as well as ‘Star Wars: Episode VII – The Forces Awakens’ in 2015 and the upcoming ‘Star Wars – Episode VIII’ to be released in 2017, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital when the United Airlines plane arrived at LAX.

Carrie Fisher is the daughter of crooner Eddie Fisher and actor Debbie Reynolds.

Carrie Fisher was in London promoting her book ‘The Princess Diarist’. She is 60-years old. Her current condition is listed as critical but stable.

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts. Now in their late sixties and still touring world-wide, featuring the original line up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, they are the ones having the last laugh and have left their old rivals for dead, in certain respects, quite literally!
