Bryan Ferry takes lead vocal on the Todd Terje cover of the Robert Palmer classic ‘Johnny and Mary’.

Todd Terje is the Norwegian DJ who is known as ‘The King of Summer Jams’. He has just released his debut album ‘It’s Album Time’ worldwide.

All of the tracks on the album are original compositions except for the Palmer cover.

Robert Palmer wrote and recorded the original ‘Johnny and Mary’ in 1980. It was included on his 1980 album ‘Clues’. The song reached the ears of Rod Stewart who was inspired to write his hit ‘Young Turks’ after hearing ‘Johnny and Mary’. Stewart also covered and had a hit with another Robert Palmer song ‘Some Guys Have All The Luck’.

‘Johnny and Mary’ has also been covered by Tina Turner, Status Quo and Melissa Manchester.
