Carl Palmer To Continue Emerson Lake & Palmer Legacy Live

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on July 25, 2017

in News

With the 2016 deaths of Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, it is now up to Carl Palmer to represent the legacy of Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Palmer has been touring his ELP Legacy now for a few years and he has over forty dates scheduled between now and the end of the year across North America and the U.K.

Palmer said “I will deeply miss Keith and Greg, both of whom the world lost in 2016. It is now down to me to carry on flying the ELP banner and I will be playing that great music with my band for many years to come. The outpouring of support from ELP’s fans has been astounding, so, I felt I owed it to them to continue the music we made as a group.”

Up next are 21 dates on the Yestival Tour with Yes and, on most dates, Todd Rundgren. That’s followed by twenty more headlining dates in the U.S., Canada and U.K.

Leo Sayer Shares His Thoughts on The Passing of Sly Stone

There really is a riot going on right now, so what a poignant moment it seems to be to lose a hero I never met, yet a man I often imagined as my soul brother. I worked with many of his alumni (including the man who helped invent him, fellow San Fran disk jockey Tom Donahue), and to say they and he inspired me would be a useless understatement.
