Rapper Coolio will return to Australia in June. He will play dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Hobart on the upcoming tour.

Coolio was first played on Australian radio when his 1994 song ‘Fantastic Voyage’ made the Australian Top 40. It peaked at no. 3 in the USA.

Coolio’s biggest Australian hit was ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’, a number one hit in 1995. The song was featured in the movie ‘Dangerous Minds. It sampled Stevie Wonder’s 1975 song ‘Pastime Paradise’. ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ sold 5.7 million copies worldwide.

He went on to have more Australian hits with ‘1,2,3,4 (Sumpin’ New) (1996) and ‘C U When U Get There’ (1997).
