in News

Daryl Braithwaite has recorded a cover of James Reyne ‘Motor’s Too Fast’ for his upcoming anthology ‘Days Go By’.

During Daryl’s illness last summer on the Red Hot Summer tour James kept up the Braithwaite profile by performing ‘The Horses’ in his honour. Daryl’s cover of ‘Motor’s Too Fast’ is a thankyou to James.

‘Days Go By’ will feature new recordings of Daryl performing Chicago’s ‘If You Leave Me Know’, Peter Gabriel’s ‘In Your Eyes’ and Carole King’s ‘Up On The Roof’.

The two-disc collection will be the first definitive Daryl Braithwaite compilation featuring all of his solo hits to date, going back his first solo hit of 1974 ‘You’re My World’.

The album brings back the hard to find hits of Daryl like ‘Cavalry’ (1975), ‘Old Sid’ (1976), ‘Love Has No Pride’ (1977), ‘Afterglow (Of Your Love)’ (1977), ‘If You Walked Away’ (1978) and ‘Love Like A Child’ (1979). Only 1979’s ‘Why Do I Break It Up’ is absent.

Daryl Braithwaite ‘Days Go By’ Will Be released on November 24.

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
