Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier to perform complete Bitch Epic on tour

Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier will perform their classic ‘Bitch Epic’ in its entirety as they trek around Australia in May and June.

As well as the classic, Deborah and Willy will also have a brand new album to play live. ‘The Words of Men’ is their 10th album. It is another album of “personal, cultural & political observation”.

“We have very human concerns & we wanted to make a record that sounds human, with creaks and breaths and joy and passion,” says Deborah in a statement. “A serious record made with fun or a fun record made seriously… Sometimes a very spare arrangement with the tiniest bit of flesh to cover the barest bones of a tune, other times a veritable pile on, an acoustic maelstrom of joyous chaos brought to order by our collective spirit.”

‘Bitch Epic’ was the first collaboration for the couple. Most of the tracks were written together including the hit song ‘Alive and Brilliant’.

Deborah is also touring Australia with her reunited 80s band Do Re Mi for By The C.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
