Dixie Chicks Reactive For More Live Dates

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on May 3, 2016

in Live,News

The Dixie Chicks’ triumphant return to the touring stage continues to grow with the announcement of a new series of dates in September.

The group has been on an unofficial hiatus for almost a decade. Their last album was 2006’s Take the Long Way which won the Grammy for Album of the Year while the single Not Ready to Make Nice took Record and Song of the Year.

Since then, Natalie Maines has released a solo album, Martie Maguire and Emily Robison have released an LP as the Court Yard Hounds, and the group has gotten together for the occasional show and a short stint opening for the Eagles, but they hadn’t put on a full tour since their last album together.
