EXCLUSIVE: BROS Will Play New Music When They Tour

The upcoming BROS reunion tour will include new music and it is a song Matt Goss has just written.

BROS’ Matt and Luke Goss spoke with Noise11.com today. “The music I’m writing now and the song I have just written with my brother, the next single actually, we are going to be playing that”, Matt tells Noise11.com.

Luke was more reserved about the commercial release of new music under the BROS name. “The first unpacking of the boxes is to bring the band to life on an administration level with the teams and then Matt and I creating music that we really understand,” he said. “This is BROS in 2017. It is an obvious thing to happen. Once we are on stage we’ll be like “oh shit this sounds really good”. It needs to unfold”.

Unlike many of the pop bands of today, the Goss brothers are actual musicians. Luke is the drummer. “We are authentic musicians and authentic artists,” Luke said explaining why the new music needs time to evolve. “We don’t just want to put labels on things and stick it out. If there is any music it will be because it showed up organically and I think it will be a lovely thing if it did. I have to have faith that it will show up just at the right time if it is meant to be”.

Matt’s new song has a title and he is proud of it. “The new song I have just written is called ‘Thank You For The Pain’,” he tells Noise11. “I just recently wrote it and it feels right. It seems to be moving people. No-one has heard it except for people in my team and my brother’s team”.

Luke says the song is up to BROS standards. “From my point of view, and this is the truth, I’ve heard a lot of Matt’s stuff,” he says. “He is an eclectic artist. He can do any style he wants. This new single is my favourite single he has had since the band went its separate ways. If it is not a smash hit I will be deeply surprised”.

At this stage ‘Thank You For The Pain’ is expected to be released as a Matt Goss single but performed by BROS in concert.

BROS will perform at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on 4 November 2017.

We’ll have the full interview with BROS next week at iHeartRadio Music News powered by Noise11.com.
