The Foos tour in November and December was impressive enough with support from Jack Black’s comedy metal act Tenacious D and Canadian art-hardcore crew Fucked Up.

Now they’ve added some of Australia’s most promising young acts to warm up the tens of thousands of rabid fans.

First up, Melbourne’s Calling All Cars will be right at home in the stadia with the epic pop-rock anthems from their latest album Dancing With A Dead Man. They’ll be opening the Perth show on Monday November 28 and Adelaide show on Monday December 5.

Fuzzy thrash duo DZ Deathrays are set to tear it up for both Melbourne shows on Saturday 3 December and Monday 5 December, as well as their home state show on the Gold Coast on Saturday 10 December.

All-sister retro rock quartet Stonefield follow their Glastonbury appearance by opening the Sydney show on Thursday 8 December.

And Kiwi hard rock duo Cairo Knife Fight take the Auckland slot on Tuesday 13 December.

Bless Dave and the boys for picking killer supports.
