Little River Band legend Glenn Shorrock has remade his classic ‘Help Is On Its Way’ with a stack of his friends to raise awareness of Men’s Mental Health issues.

The new version features Wendy Matthews, The McClymonts, Beccy Cole, Jasmine Rae, Travis Collins, Busby Marou and Fanny Lumsden. The single was produced by Katie Noonan and Michael Tan. The money raised from the song will support Roses in the Ocean (www.rosesintheocean.com.au)

“I am proud that a song like ‘Help Is On Its Way’ continues to resonate in 2019 and to have it bring hope and be a rallying cry for such an important public health issue is humbling for me as a songwriter,” said Glenn Shorrock. “To be singing a song that’s been such an important part of my life, backed up by thousands of choristers is going to be an experience for all of us that we won’t forget.”

A Help Is On Its Way benefit concert will happen in Brisbane on 27 July. “I truly believe that anyone with a voice can sing,” said Katie Noonan. “Help Is On Its Way is an example of the role music can play in giving awareness to important issues in our society. Through collective experiences like singing together, we can bring communities closer, building empathy, friendship and a shared understanding and support for one another. This charity single gives us another simple yet tangible way to show support – you can buy the single and know that all the funds raised will go to an awesome charity who are doing vital work in our communities.”

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
