The song was the biggest selling Australian song of 2011 and has also been to the top in Germany.

‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ is the first Aussie song to reach number one in England since ‘We Speak No Americano’ by Yolanda B Cool Vs D Cup last year but the time an Aussie went to number one in England before that was in May 2000 when Madison Avenue topped the UK chart with ‘Don’t Call Me Baby’.

The Gotye featuring Kimbra ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ has clocked up 69,673,155 views on YouTube.

The cover by Canada’s Walk Off The Earth has had 52,840.950 views.
