Frontier Touring’s Facebook page posted a hint about an upcoming special announcement this Friday but the instead of it taking days to reveal it took minutes.

The answer was Jack White.

On the Frontier Touring Facebook page they posted “We’ve got an exciting tour coming up! All will be announced on Friday.

To tide you over until then, we’ll be giving you a clue a day to try and figure out who the mystery act is.

Here’s clue #1”

The clue was a picture of a hand.

Someone called Stephen McCormick recognized the image from a GQ photo. He posted the complete pic with Jack White and Wanda Jackson and the secret was out.

White has been one of the hot rumours for Splendour In The Grass. He had already been announced for Fuji Rock that same week (and timezone) in Japan.

Splendour In The Grass will announce their line-up on Thursday morning and the Frontier announcement was coming Friday.

It is now expected that White will be a Splendour headliner and Frontier will tour the sideshows.

All will be revealed on Thursday.
