Independent Music Awards Announce Their Best Label Nominees

The Jagermeister Independent Music Awards have announced the nominees for the new Best Label category.

Over 100 AIR label members were asked to nominate their picks for Best Independent Label and the top five have been assembled to go in the running for the inaugural award.

The labels are: longstanding Sydney hip-hop label Elefant Traks (The Herd, Urthboy, Hermitude, Sietta, The Last Kinection), new indie rock label I Oh You (DZ Deathrays, Bleeding Knees Club, Snakadaktal, Violent Soho), pioneering jazz label Jazzhead, the in-house label for big indie distributor Inertia Recordings (The Bamboos, Dappled Cities), and indie pop label Stop Start Music (Ball Park Music, Hungry Kids Of Hungary, Millions).

The Jagermeister Independent Music Awards takes place on on Tuesday 16 October.
