The successful bidders will be Joe’s guests at the show with VIP seats and then be escorted backstage after the show to meet Joe, get a photo and an autograph.

Joe is raising the money for the Gaden Shartse Cultural Foundation.

Info on the foundation at the auction site reads:

Gaden Shartse Cultural Foundation was established in 2006 with the mission to help preserve and share the ancient Tibetan traditions and culture. Since the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1950, much of this rare and ancient culture has been destroyed. We feel that this rich culture, once hidden and preserved behind the Himalayan mountains, has much to offer the world at large. It is our mission to not only help preserve this precious culture, but to share it’s ancient wisdom with the people of the United States. To do this we have partnered with Gaden Shartse Monastery and Thubten Dhargye Ling Buddhist Center to help host the Sacred Earch and Healing Arts of Tibet tours here in the USA. This is the official tour group of the internationally recognized Gaden Shartse Monestery. The tour was created in 1989 and has been visiting the United States to fulfill their mission of helping to spread peace, harmony, compassion, and tolerance through cultural exchange, interfaith dialog, and Buddhist teachings.

The Joe Walsh auction will run until November 13, 2012. Join the auction here

In February, 2012, Joe Walsh will release ‘Analog Man’, his first solo record since 1992.

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
