Lady Gaga To Appear At Elle Women Event In Hollywood

Lady Gaga has finally confirmed her engagement to talent agent Christian Carino after thanking her “fiance” at Monday’s Elle Women in Hollywood event.

Lady Gaga, 32, began dating Christian, 49, in early 2017, and last November (17), an Us Weekly source claimed they had secretly become engaged over the summer.

Gaga has been keeping fans guessing about her relationship status ever since, but she hasn’t been shy about showing off her new jewellery, often wearing a large pink diamond surrounded by smaller white diamonds on a gold band on her left ring finger.

On Monday night, the singer-turned-actress finally gave fans the confirmation they had been waiting for, as she gave a brief shout out to her man while she was honoured at Elle magazine’s annual gala in Beverly Hills, California.

“Thank you to all the loved ones in my life,” she began. “Bobby (Campbell, manager), I love you… My fiance, Christian. All the loved ones in my life who take care of me every day…”

Gaga was previously set to wed actor Taylor Kinney, but they broke off their engagement in 2016 after five years together.

The pop icon, who rocked an oversized grey power suit from Marc Jacobs, was feted at the Women in Hollywood event alongside Charlize Theron, Mia Farrow, TV mogul Shonda Rhimes, Sarah Paulson, Keira Knightley, Yara Shahidi, and Black Panther stars Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and Lupita Nyong’o.

They were all celebrated for their contributions to the fight for equal rights both on and off the screen, particularly in light of the #MeToo and Time’s Up campaigns against sexual misconduct and inequality which made waves in Hollywood following the downfall of producer Harvey Weinstein last autumn (17).
