Lisa Marie Presley Seeks Treatment For Drug Use

Lisa Marie Presley has checked into a rehabilitation centre to tackle a prescription pill addiction, according to multiple reports.

Recent rumours have suggested the daughter of rock legend Elvis Presley, who struggled with drug and alcohol abuse during her youth, is receiving professional help at the luxury Hills Treatment Center in Los Angeles, and now a source tells UsMagazine.com she is doing well in rehab.

“She’s doing OK but needed to get this under control,” the insider explained.

Representatives for the 48-year-old singer have yet to comment on the reports, but Presley has been open about her personal problems in the past.

“(I used) cocaine, sedatives, pot and drinking – all at the same time. I just couldn’t be sober,” she confessed to Paper Magazine in 2003. “I don’t know how I lived through it.”

The rehab rumours emerge weeks after she split from Michael Lockwood, her husband of 10 years.

Lisa Marie initially filed divorce papers in late June (16), but subsequently amended the documents to reflect a legal separation instead. The change means that unlike divorce, the couple will still be legally married, but will be living separately.

She is requesting full custody of their seven-year-old twin daughters, Harper and Finley, and is seeking monitored visitation for Lockwood.

Presley also has two children with her ex-husband Danny Keough, the father of their 23-year-old son Benjamin and actress daughter Riley Keough, 27.

She was previously also married to the late Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996, and actor Nicolas Cage for two years until 2004.
