The Reclink Community Cup 2019 line-up has been confirmed with Magic Dirt, Baker Boy and Harvey Sutherland along for 2019.

The 2019 theme has been adapted from Paul Kelly’s ‘from Little Things Big Things Grow’. “This year’s national theme ‘From Little Things Big Things Grow’ is based on the song about Vincent Lingiari who stood for Aboriginal rights and their ownership of land. Today we also draw an inspirational message of what can be achieved when people stand together for what is right and what is fair. Who could have imagined that from its small beginning in St. Kilda, the Community Cup would grow to become a national iconic event?” said John Ballis, CEO Reclink Australia

The Reclink Community Cup started in 1993. It raises over $150,000 a year for Reclink Australia’s community work.

The two teams for 2019 are The newly named Espy Rockdogs and comminuty radio team the Megahertz.

“The Espy’s pumped to be back involved. We reckon the Community Cup and The Espy just kinda belong together – like Paul and Kev, and footy and rock. This amazing community event is a big part of The Espy’s history and we’re proud to be part of it,” said Matt Mullins, The Espy

“Both stations look forward to the community cup, where we team up to raise much needed funds for Reclink, while taking on our arch rivals the Rockdogs. It’s a fun day for a good cause,” adds Dave Houchin RRR General Manager and Adrian Basso PBS General Manager.

The 25th annual Reclink Community Cup is on June 23.

Live Music Ticket Prices Reshape Global Concert Industry As Australia Faces ‘FOMO Economy’

by Paul Cashmere The cost of seeing live music has transformed dramatically over the past four decades, with arena and stadium concert ticket prices now outpacing inflation at a rate few other entertainment sectors can match. In the mid-1980s, a major concert ticket typically cost between $12 and $15. In 2026, premium tickets for the world's biggest tours regularly exceed $500, while VIP packages can stretch beyond $1,000. The shift has fundamentally changed not only the economics of touring, but also the behaviour of audiences in Australia, North America and Europe.
