Megan Moroney will return to Australia in May 2027 with The Cloud 9 Tour, bringing her latest album to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane for three headline arena performances. The Nashville singer-songwriter will play Rod Laver Arena on 8 May, Afterpay Arena on 11 May and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 14 May, with fellow Nashville artist Laci Kaye Booth joining her across the Australian dates.
The announcement extends a rapid international expansion for Moroney, whose career has moved from independent releases and emerging Nashville songwriter status to major chart success in only a few years. Her previous Australian visit included an appearance at the 2025 Ridin’ Hearts Festival and a sold-out Brisbane headline show, establishing a strong local audience ahead of the larger venues booked for 2027.
Moroney’s Australian return is tied to the international touring cycle surrounding Cloud 9, her third studio album. The album followed Lucky in 2023 and Am I Okay? in 2024, giving Moroney three studio albums in less than three years.
The progression has also been reflected in the US charts. Cloud 9 debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, according to the supplied background material, following Am I Okay?, which reached No. 9. The album also became Moroney’s first chart-topping Billboard 200 release.
The commercial trajectory began with “Tennessee Orange”, the song that transformed Moroney from a developing Nashville songwriter into a mainstream country artist. Released in 2022, the track became her first Billboard Hot 100 entry and subsequently earned multi-platinum certification. Her debut album Lucky, released in May 2023, reached the Top 40 of the Billboard 200.
Am I Okay? strengthened that position when it debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 in July 2024. Its title track and “No Caller ID” extended Moroney’s presence beyond country radio, while the subsequent Am I Okay? Tour took her across North America during 2025.
Cloud 9 continued that progression. Its first single, “6 Months Later”, was released in June 2025, followed by “Beautiful Things”. The album was released on 20 February 2026 and reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with its songs including “Wish I Didn’t”, “Cloud 9”, “Medicine” and “I Only Miss You”, the latter featuring Ed Sheeran.
The Australian dates also underline the scale of Moroney’s touring development. Her touring history has progressed from the Pistol Made of Roses Tour in 2023 and The Lucky Tour to the larger Am I Okay? Tour in 2025 and The Cloud 9 Tour in 2026.
Laci Kaye Booth will accompany Moroney as special guest. Booth, who recently toured Australia with Morgan Evans, released her debut album The Loneliest Girl In The World in 2024 and is scheduled to release Love Ain’t For The Faint Of Heart on 18 September. Her inclusion gives the Australian shows a second Nashville songwriter with an established connection to contemporary country audiences.
For Moroney, the Australian run represents another step in an international touring career that has expanded considerably since her breakthrough. The singer began releasing music in 2021, moved to Nashville after graduating from university and subsequently signed with Sony Music following the success of “Tennessee Orange”.
The 2027 concerts will also place material from all three studio albums within a single headline set, tracing the development from Lucky and its defining songs through Am I Okay? and into Cloud 9. Moroney has continued to write and co-write her material throughout that progression, maintaining songwriting as a central component of her recording career.
