Metallica is one of a number of music artists who have made it into the new addition of the Guinness Book of World Records.

Metallica’s record is for being the only band to ever perform a concert on all seven continents, setting the record last year with their Freeze Em’ All show in Antarctica. To make the achievement even more impressive, they made it to all seven in the span of one year.

James Hetfield said in a statement “Seven continents in one year with Antarctica being the gig of a lifetime. Yes, 120 scientists and competition winners. Not to mention the 300 very curious penguins!”

Other artists receiving listings include Katy Perry (most Twitter followers), Shakira (most likes on Facebook and first person to 100,000,000 likes), Miley Cyrus (most searched pop star), One Direction (first artist to hit number 1 with first three albums) and Eminem (most words in a hit single, 1,560 words in Rap God).
