Middle Kids are the latest act to sign with Mushroom Publishing.

Sydney’s Middle Kids formed in 2015. The band is lead singer and guitarist Hannah Joy with her husband multi-instrumentalist and producer Tim Fitz and drummer Harry Day.

Since forming Middle Kids have opened for Ryan Adams and Cold War Kids and scored a slot on Austin City Limits.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be joining the Mushroom family,” Hannah said in a statement. “We love the culture they’ve created and the passion and vision they have for each of their artists. Hurrah for us we are very lucky middle kids”.

Middle Kids will release their debut album ‘Lost Friends’ in May through EMI.

“Hannah Joy’s song writing is hypnotic, timeless and infectious. We fell in love with Middle Kids’ music. It’s powerful stuff. We are so excited to be working with them and can’t wait for everyone to hear their knockout debut LP,” said Linda Bosidis, Head of A&R, Mushroom Music Publishing

Middle Kids will head out on a world tour in May starting in Australia and then heading to the UK and North America.
