in News

Midnight Oil will return to where it all began with a warm-up show at Sydney pub Selina’s on April 13.

The Selina’s gig will be the warm-up gig for Midnight Oil’s reunion ‘The Great Circle 2017’ world tour.

Tickets for the show will be strictly by ballot.

Terms and Conditions according to Frontier Touring are:

If you are interested in coming to this gig you first have to register your interest here between 8am AEDT Thursday 30 March and 8am AEST on Monday 3 April.

You can only register for the ballot once – multiple entries will be disqualified

Successful applicants will then be selected by a completely random electronic process so every entrant has an equal chance of success.

Ticketek will email all successful applicants on Tuesday April 4 with instructions on how to purchase within the nominated sales period. All tickets will be General Admission and will cost $99.90 plus a one-off service and handling fee of $5.95 per transaction.

Sales will then open for successful applicants only on Tuesday April 4 at 12noon AEST and close on Friday April 7 at 12noon AEST.

BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THIS BALLOT PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING VERY IMPORTANT NOTES:

– Registration for the ballot is free but it does not guarantee that you will be allocated ticket(s).

– Strict ticket limit of two (2) tickets per successful applicant and all tickets must then be purchased within the on sale window detailed above.

– There will be no physical tickets whatsoever for this show – successful purchasers will be notified of entry procedure which may involve queuing.

– The successful applicant must be attending the event (ie: you cannot purchase on someone else’s behalf).

– If you apply for two tickets, you (ie: the successful ticket applicant and purchaser) must personally attend the event with your guest.

– Successful ticket applicants will be required to provide Photo ID on the night in order to gain admission to the venue. If you do not have Photo ID that matches the name on the credit card that was used to purchase your ticket – then you will not be admitted under any circumstances.

– This is a General Admission event. Those requiring special needs accessibility should still enter the ballot. Successful applicants will be sent information about direct entry for the night.

– Selina’s is a fully licensed venue so no persons under the age of 18 can be admitted due to NSW liquor licensing laws.

In keeping with all other messaging around this tour, Midnight Oil and Frontier Touring STRONGLY warn fans NOT to buy tickets for this gig by any means other than those described above. There will be no physical tickets whatsoever for this show so any websites claiming to have “Selina’s tickets” prior to the day of show cannot possibly be telling the truth.

Leo Sayer Shares His Thoughts on The Passing of Sly Stone

There really is a riot going on right now, so what a poignant moment it seems to be to lose a hero I never met, yet a man I often imagined as my soul brother. I worked with many of his alumni (including the man who helped invent him, fellow San Fran disk jockey Tom Donahue), and to say they and he inspired me would be a useless understatement.
