Rapper A$AP Rocky was reportedly caught up in a nasty fight in Auckland, New Zealand early on Thursday morning (25Feb16).
A$AP Rocky had performed at the Vector Arena on Wednesday (24Feb16), but following the concert, he was involved in a fight at the Pullman Hotel around 3am local time, according to TMZ.com.
Sources tell the website Rocky was in an elevator with some girls when three men attempted to join them, and the rapper allegedly told them there was no room left.
The men reportedly began yelling “F**k A$AP!” then jumped Rocky and punched him in the face, all while the star was trying to protect the ladies.
Insiders tell TMZ hotel security eventually broke up the fight, and police arrived soon after. A 35-year-old man was reportedly arrested and charged with assault and resisting police.
It is unclear if Rocky suffered any injuries, but he is still scheduled to perform in Sydney on Thursday night.
The rapper has spoken about his love for the ladies before, but after breaking up with supermodel Chanel Iman in October (14), he confessed getting romantic with other celebrities no longer interests him.
“They (female entertainers) don’t dress themselves, they don’t think for themselves, they didn’t find themselves – that’s why they became an entertainer,” he told Vogue U.K.
“From experience, I bob along better with normal women. I want children, I just didn’t impregnate anybody yet. But I definitely want a daughter because she is going to be the flyest, jiggiest young lady on this planet.”
Rocky and Iman were together for 18 months before calling it quits on their relationship.
