Fleetwood Mac 5CD ‘Tusk’ Tracklisting Revealed

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on November 8, 2015

in New Music,News

Fleetwood Mac’s classic 1979 album Tusk is about to be explored in depth on a new deluxe edition.

While Tusk seemed to pale in the wake of the immense album Rumours, it lived up to the Mac legacy that was reborn four years earlier when Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and John and Christine McVie first joined forces. An ambitious double album, it included such classics as Sara, Think About Me, Sisters of the Moon, Over and Over and the title track.

The new version will come in a variety of formats including a single-CD remaster, a 3-CD expanded edition and the massive 5-CD/DVD/two-LP set along with digital formats.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the 3-CD set includes the original Tusk, a version of the album made up of outtakes of the sessions along with demos, remixes and single versions of songs. The 5-CD set includes two discs with performances from the 1979 tour in support of the album in Tuscon, St. Louis and London along with a 5.1 mix on audio DVD, a double vinyl LP and a book.

Yet the record became the unlikely gateway to one of the greatest success stories in rock history-Fleetwood Mac's mid-1970s rebirth.
