Tina Arena To Be Inducted Into ARIA Hall of Fame

Tina Arena’s 38 year career will finally be recognised by ARIA this year when Tina is inducted into the ARIA Hall of Hall.

Tina was eight years old when she first appeared on Young Talent Time across Australia and soon became a household name. She was with the show for six years and 6 months, becoming the longest Young Talent Time team member.

ARIA Chief Executive Officer, Dan Rosen, said: “Tina first won our hearts as an eight year old on Young Talent Time, and went on to become one of the country’s highest selling female artists. The longevity of her recording career is a testament to enduring talent and artistry. We are proud to see Tina take her place amongst the icons of the Australian music industry in the ARIA Hall of Fame.”

Tina’s first album was ‘Tiny Tina and Little John’ with John Bowles. She was 10 years old. Tina 11th album ‘Eleven’ will be released on October 30, 2015. Two of her albums were recorded in French.

Her biggest album. 1994’s ‘Don’t Ask’ sold over 700,000 copies in Australia.

Tina Arena said, “What a thrill to receive this recognition for what has been an incredible journey so far. I look forward to sharing this milestone with my peers along with the Australian public.”

The 2015 ARIA Awards will be held at Star Casino in Sydney on November 26. Tina Arena will be a special guest at the grand opening of the ARIA Hall Of Fame Walk on Thursday, November 5.
