New Tina Arena Compilation Goes Back To The Provocative Years

Tina Arena goes back to her “coming of age” hit ‘I Need Your Body’ on her next compilation ‘Greatest Hits and Interpretations’.

Child star Tina rose to fame on teen talent show Young Talent Time but after the show ended she had trouble adapting to the next stage of her career, as an adult performer.

In 1990, the now 23 year old Tina broke ranks from her image and release the provocative hi-NRG disco song ‘I Need You Body’. The song was a Top 3 hit in Australia and opened radio to the more Tina-friendly tracks ‘The Machine’s Breaking Down’ and ‘Strong As Steel’, that also become Top 40 hits for her that year.

Previous Greatest Hits albums released through Sony have focused on the Sony era from 1994-2004. The new ‘Greatest Hits and Interpretations’ is the collection of her complete career.

Tina Arena will be heading out on tour in September.
