Noel Gallagher Talks One Direction And Its Pretty Funny

Noel Gallagher has joked that Zayn Malik might want to be an everyday 22-year-old, but he’ll hate being a normal 25-year-old.

Zayn quit British boyband One Direction in March, saying he wanted to take some time out from the limelight so he could be like his peers. But former Oasis star Noel finds it hilarious that the star said such a thing, and is adamant Zayn hasn’t really thought things through.

‘The greatest quote was – I laughed out loud when I read it ‘ ‘I just want to be a normal 22-year-old.’ Pfft. Who wants to be a normal 22-year-old?! Hang on a minute. You can be f**king anything that moves and gettin’ paid half a million dollars a week, you f**kin’ idiot. You want to be a normal 22-year-old? Have you met any normal 22-year-olds? They’re f**kin’ sh*t-for-brains,’ he laughed to Rolling Stone magazine.

‘What are you talking about, you f**kin’ idiot?.. I’ll say this to you, Zayn: You might have wanted to be a normal 22-year-old, but you won’t want to be a normal 25-year-old.’

Noel also advises Zayn to invest in a good accountant, reminding him that life is a lot longer than he thinks.

The rocker has never met Zayn, but he does know his former bandmate Harry Styles. According to Noel, Harry doesn’t have much to say for himself, although he does think the youngster is a ‘good lad’.

Someone who will be pleased to hear that is Noel’s 15-year-old daughter Anaïs. She has always been a fan of the group, although her father is pleased that her tastes are broadening as she gets older.

‘I wouldn’t have expected her to be into anything other than One Direction when she was 12. If she’s into One Direction when she’s 22, she’s getting shunned,’ he explained.
