Now Victoria Beckham Says There Won’t Be A Spice Girls Reunion

Victoria Beckham has categorically denied the Spice Girls will be going on a reunion tour.

Rumours swirled that the ’90s girl band were planning a reunion tour after Victoria, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm reunited at Geri Horner’s house earlier this month (Feb18) to “explore some incredible new opportunities”.

According to TMZ.com, the tour was due to kick off with dates in the U.K. before winging its way to North America.

However, Victoria has now denied the girls will take to the stage during a chat with reporters from British Vogue held at a preview of her high-end clothing brand’s autumn/winter 2018 collection.

“I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour,” she said in New York on Saturday (February 10).

The fashion designer posted several pictures from the reunion at Geri’s house on Instagram after their meeting. And she spoke warmly of the gathering with her former bandmates in her latest chat.

“It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.

“There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming,” the 43-year-old explained, before adding, “But (fashion) is what I do.”

Asked if a reboot of their film Spice World was on the cards instead, Victoria responded with a reference to the group’s 1996 song Wannabe, and quipped: “Is that what you really, really want?”
