Ozzy Osbourne Calls Sharon His Rock At Festival Launch

Ozzy Osbourne heaped praise on his estranged wife Sharon at the launch of his new heavy rock festival.

Ozzy’s Ozzfest is joining forces with Slipknot’s Knotfest for a “mind-blowing double-header weekend” in California in September (16), and the Black Sabbath star unveiled the details and line-up at a press conference in Hollywood on Thursday (12May16).

Invited media members were asked before the event not to dwell on Ozzy’s personal issues, following news of his marriage woes, but the rocker offered up serious praise for his estranged wife, who also serves as his manager, at the event.

“My wife did it,” he told ET Online, referring to the Ozzfest and Knotfest merger. “She’s my right arm. She’s everything for me. She’s great.”

Sharon’s reunion with Ozzy was a little awkward at the press event – at one point he leaned in to hug and kiss her but it was clear the public display of affection was unwelcome.

Meanwhile, sources tell the outlet Sharon is struggling to come to terms with her husband’s alleged affair with a Los Angeles-based hairdresser.

“This is an emotional affair – it wasn’t just a one-time hookup,” the insider said. “There are feelings there between Ozzy and this woman. This is a double life he’s been leading – and that’s what upset Sharon the most and made her leave him.”

However, when asked how she felt at the press conference – the couple’s first public reunion since their breakup last week (ends06May16), Sharon offered a direct, nonchalant response.

“It’s business,” she deadpanned. “This is my business, you know? This is what I do. We’ve been working together, my lord, since ’76. That’s how long we’ve been working together. Before we were married.”
