Paul McCartney will induct Ringo Starr into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The former Beatles musician has been confirmed as a presenter at this year’s ceremony, which takes place on April 18. He has been given the role of initiating his old bandmate Ringo into the prestigious museum in Cleveland, Ohio, but it’s not clear whether they’ll sing together.

“I told Paul that I’m not putting a band together,” Ringo told Rolling Stone. “If he puts a band together, I’ll do With A Little Help From My Friends.”

Legendary crooner Stevie Wonder will speak about Bill Withers on the night.

Also involved is Patti Smith who will be inducting Lou Reed, who passed away in October 2013, while Peter Wolf will sing the praises of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

It’s not all old-school acts to be included in the festivities though as pop rockers Fall Out Boy will discuss Green Day and musician John Mayer will play tribute to the late Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Completing the presenters to be announced so far is Steve Cropper who will commend The “5” Royales.

Fans will have to wait to find out who will be inducting Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.

The fun doesn’t stop there though as there is the annual show which also boasts big acts. Dave Grohl, John Legend and Joe Walsh are just some of the musicians who will be taking to the stage at Cleveland’s Public Hall.

Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has admitted it will be quite a task to pick a set list for their potential performance during the ceremony as they haven’t gigged since finishing their tour last March.

“We’ll get there,” he assured Rolling Stone.
