Paul McCartney Wings Reissues Delayed

by Roger Wink, VVN Music on August 29, 2014

in New Music,News

Paul McCartney & Wings albums ‘Venus and Mars’ and ‘Wings at the Speed of Sound’ have been delayed by over a month.

Originally scheduled for release on September 22/23 (U.K./U.S.), the albums will now hit the market on November 4. No specifics were given for the delays other than it was because of “production issues.”

The albums will be issued in 2-CD sets, which include a second disc of non-album singles of the era, alternate versions and unreleased songs. The Deluxe Editions include both CDs along with a DVD with documentaries, music videos and other material.

The Damned released the first ever UK punk single, “New Rose” off album Damned, Damned, Damned, in 1976, and were often overshadowed by their English punk counterparts. Now in their late sixties and still touring world-wide, featuring the original line up of Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray, they are the ones having the last laugh and have left their old rivals for dead, in certain respects, quite literally!
