Pink Floyd are registering record streaming figures for Spotify but the surprise is the listeners are a lot younger than you would expect.

According to Spotify, “Pink Floyd skews remarkably young on Spotify globally, with over 60% of its audience under 35, its strongest listening among 18-22 year olds, and 80% of its playlisters under 35. Pink Floyd is reaching a really young audience, especially for a band founded nearly 50 years ago”.

‘The Endless River’ was streamed over 12 million times in the first week of release. In the UK the album is the third best seller of the year after only one week on sale.

‘The Endless River’ debuted at no 3 in Australia this week with 13603 sales, 4674 of which were digital.
